I have many fond memories picnicking and swimming at this beautiful island when I was a kid.
This park is only accessible by boat, but is truly a gem; their is a pier on each side of the island. It has a picnic area with out houses, as well as a beautiful lighthouse with a working outdoor fog bell. The island seems to be only about a mile across; so the walk from one pier to the other is not bad, and it is great with the water views.
